Julio Villalobos was born in California and raised in Mexico.
From a very early age, he was interested in all kinds of art; from comics to poetry, from architecture to restoration to tattoos. Having a career in architecture and restoration, Julio turned his interest to the field of tattooing starting his apprenticeship in 2006. Later, in 2008, he went to the San Francisco Bay Area where he worked at Secret Sidewalk Tattoo. Then at TimeLine Gallery in San Pedro, CA and at Transitions Tattoos in Huntington Beach, CA. Currently he is tattooing at Simms Ink Studios in Napa, CA. Julio’s Favorite artistic endeavors are watercolors, oils, acrylics, fresco, and gold leaf.
